Brazil: Rio's bays, the roar of Iguazu and a country the size of a continent

Brazil is a once-in-a-lifetime trip that deserves proper planning: long distances, big internal flights and very different regions. Green Apple builds the route, books Emirates' non-stop flight to Sao Paulo and every connection after it, and places you with guides who know Rio, Iguazu and Bahia intimately.

Brazil travel questions

How do I fly from Dubai to Brazil?

Emirates flies non-stop from Dubai to Sao Paulo (about 15 hours) with convenient connections to Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Iguazu and Manaus. One-stop routings via Europe are also possible.

Is Brazil safe for tourists?

Millions visit safely every year. We book hotels in well-located neighbourhoods such as Ipanema and Leblon, use private transfers and licensed guides, and brief you on sensible precautions, as we would for any large city.

When is Carnival and should we go then?

Carnival falls in February or early March and is spectacular, but hotels triple in price and sell out a year ahead. If parades are the goal we book early; otherwise we suggest travelling just before or after.

How long do we need for Brazil?

Twelve to sixteen nights lets you see Rio, Iguazu and one more region such as Salvador, the Amazon or the Pantanal without rushing. Ten nights covers Rio and Iguazu comfortably.

What languages do your guides speak?

Portuguese is the local language. Our partners provide English-speaking guides throughout, and Arabic or Russian-speaking guides in Rio and Sao Paulo on request.
