Turkey travel questions

How far is Turkey from Dubai?

Istanbul is about four and a half hours non-stop with Emirates, Turkish Airlines or flydubai. Antalya, Bodrum and Trabzon have seasonal direct flights from Dubai as well.

When is the best time for the Cappadocia balloon flight?

Balloons fly year-round when weather allows, but April to June and September to November have the most reliable mornings. We book two nights in Goreme so there is a second chance if a flight is cancelled.

Is Istanbul enough for a long weekend?

Yes. Three nights covers Sultanahmet, the Grand Bazaar, a Bosphorus cruise and the Asian side. Many of our clients fly out on Thursday evening and return Sunday night.

Which Turkish coast is best for a beach holiday?

Antalya and Belek have the big resort hotels and family facilities; Bodrum and Fethiye are smaller and more boutique. June to September is beach season; May and October are quieter and still warm.

Do you arrange Turkish-speaking or Arabic-speaking guides?

Yes, our Istanbul and Cappadocia partners provide licensed guides in English, Arabic and Russian.
