Thailand travel questions

How long is the flight from Dubai to Thailand?

Non-stop flights from Dubai to Bangkok take about six hours, and to Phuket about six and a half. Emirates, flydubai and Thai Airways all operate the route, so there are departures morning and evening.

Which beach should we choose: Phuket, Krabi or Koh Samui?

Phuket has the widest choice of resorts and the easiest flights. Krabi is quieter with dramatic limestone scenery. Koh Samui on the Gulf side has its best weather from January to August, the opposite of the Andaman coast, which makes it the summer-holiday choice.

Is Thailand good for a family holiday from the UAE?

Very. Short flight, family suites and kids' clubs at most resorts, elephant sanctuaries, snorkelling trips and night markets. We avoid long transfers and choose beaches with calm water for younger children.

When is the rainy season?

On the Andaman coast (Phuket, Krabi, Khao Lak) May to October brings afternoon rain and rougher seas. Bangkok and Chiang Mai are wettest August to October. Koh Samui's rainiest weeks are late October to December.

Can you arrange halal food in Thailand?

Yes. Phuket and Krabi have large Muslim communities with excellent halal restaurants, and Bangkok has many options. We note dietary requirements on every hotel and tour booking.
